Hello

Can you check your SAP<SID> account status. This may be locked. If you unlock it it will resolve the problem. You should do any changes to this user's password by using brtools.

Thanks

Atul

do and R3trans and post the trans.log after SAPSR3 has been unlocked... I presume this can be a problem with the OPS$ user

Hi,

It indicates SAP Instance is getting shutdown when tried for start-up.

Following could help to resolve the start-up issue.

1) If SAP instance was up and running fine earlier (you have not done any changes in any of the parameters), try to stop the instance, restart SAP service, and then try to start SAP instance using MMC.

2) Check if DB connectivity is thru using R3trans -d (it should return 0000) from command prompt (with <sid>adm user). If not, start DB first and then try to start SAP instance.

3) If you hvae performed any kind of profile parameters and you are trying to restart SAP instance as part of it, revert the same and perform activity as mentioned in step-1, to start SAP instance.

4) Refer trace files in ../work directory to find where the exact issue is.

If I am missing any other option, let us know what makes the instance stopped, and we could nerrow down the SAP instance startup issue.

Pramod
