Encoding pronlem

Hello

We are implementing SAP PI 7.1 + Conversion agent module.

I have come into an encoding problem in the PI.

1) A source input file encoded as ANSI contains Hebrew characters (Encoded as 1252) is parsed by the ItemField module in PI,

2)The encoding settings for the Conversion agent project is:

In:1255 Out:1255 the output.xml result from running the Conversion agent project - is OK (All Hebrew char's are available in the XML output result).

3) In the Sender comm. channel I have set up the file adapter to CP1252 or CP1255 or UTF - 8

the SXMB_MONI in the sender payload shows an XML with "gibberish" characters (instead of Hebrew)

Did any one here encountered similar encoding problems in PI.

thnks

In your sender file adter, try windows-1255 or win-1255 or ISO 8859-8 instead of cp1255.

I do not get this: "A source input file encoded as ANSI contains Hebrew characters (Encoded as 1252) "

Is this correct? cp1252 does not contain hebrew charactes, or?

Hi Rachel,

Although they appear as junk characters in SXMB_MONI, they will be transmitted correctky to the receiver.

Check at the receiver system and see.
