Synchronizing system data with SAP Support Portal

Hello,

I've read through sapnote 993775 and 1246699.

I have some concern as below:

1. is this synchronization is automatically via SMSY, or it need to be done system by system by click at the 'Synchronize' button at the 'System Data in SAP Support Portal'

2. if there is no system data change, then there will be no any syncronization?

How is this syncronization concept take place in SOLMAN.

Hi,

This synchronization is automatic via a background job and part of the generation of EarlyWatch Alerts.

You can manually force the update at any point when required via the 'Synchronize' button in SMSY.

If there is no data change then nothing will be changed in Service Marketplace but the date/time the refresh was done (either by the background job or manually) will be updated to reflect the refresh. If data has changed then this will be changed in Service Marketplace and will show updated by SOLMAN 4.0.
