Hello,
We are in the process of installation of ECC 6 on windows in high
availability clustering environment.
1. Created resource groups etc.as per SAP recommendation - OK
2. Installed ASCS - OK
3. Install MSCS first Node - During this phase SAPINST has renamed our resource group from SAPGRP to SAP PRD
4. We have adjusted our profiles and SAP service according to new SAP HOST - "SAP" created in step 3 by SAPINST
5. DB instance is failing in second phase - install common files
Extract of error from SAPINST.LOG is -
INFO[E] 2010-01-25 12:58:12.775
FSL-02036 Unable to create node
SAP\sapmnt\ with type DIRECTORY: can't create parent node..
Please help.
Regards
Ankita
Hello Ankita,
I am currently facing the same error during Database installation (ECC6 EHP5-Oracle-Win2008R2). How did you manage to solve it that time.

Prashant

Hi Orkun,
I followed your suggestion and set the permissions accordingly as precaution, But the issue that I face is SAPinst is searching for 'SAPMNT' share with //physical-hostname and not by the virtual-host-name..In my the system 'SAPMNT' share already exists as //<Virtual_Hostname/sapmnt with proper permissions.
Any suggestions on these.
Best Regards,
Prashant
Hi,
>> Actually the parameter had no mention anywhere in SAP ECC6-EHP5-Win2008R2-Oracle Installation Guide. so did not think of trying. Shall I try using it with value of my ASCS virtual hostname?
Create a temporary sapmnt share, for the physical host. After you complete the transaction successfully, delete the share.
Best regards,
Orkun Gedik
Hi,
Please check the accessibility of
SAP\sapmnt\ location. Any Permission issue is there?
