Message change for duplicate EAN

my client don't want to alllow duplicate EAN, I came to know that using message type control we can change the present status of warning to error.

plz suggest the process flow where can i make changes for message number M3348 from warning to error.

Is there any other way to match client requirement.

Hello,

Using transaction OMT4, you can change message category to 'E' (Error).

System Messages T-code is OMT4 this is the best SAP suggested Process

You can also write User exit if client requerment is different
