PPDS Custom planning procedure

Hi Gurus,

I have a scenario where i am releasing PIR to PPDS and running heuristic meaning when converting PIR to planned order i wanted the PIR quantity to check inventory of semi finished product first and then create planned order.

I heard that it is possible in Custom planning procedure and please explain me where exactly with each and step by step the whole process.

Hi Raj,

You have PIR for finished product. When you run planning run you want to take stocks at finish and semifinish level for genration of planned orders. For this you can go with standarad planning procedure 4 and use heuristic - SAP_PP_002 in product master and in /SAPAPO/PPR run MRP-002 heuristic this wil meet your requirement .

Still planning procedure customization involves action carried out for particular planning relevant changes.

Hi Raj,

Try using sap std planning procedure 1 ie manual with check

You only use this standard planning procedure for components

which you have already included in a planning run before the receipt

of any concrete customer requirements. Procurement elements

(planned order, purchase requisitions or scheduling agreement

schedule lines) have already been created in the planning run.
