Pre-Client Copy Steps

I am really confused with the application data & customizing data..What are the differences between these 2??I have to perform a Local client copy so what pre client copy steps I need to perform??

Manoj thanks for sending the doc..But still I am having the ambiguity..What exactly the diff between customizing & application data??When we do sap_appl & sap_cust in the client copy??

Application Data is customer data, for example, account documents, picking orders, sales orders, etc.

Customizing Data is configuration data, for example, societies, functional configuration, etc.

Thanks Johan..So when we select sap_appl for client copy whether customizing data is also copied & vice - versa??
