HI Chintu,

Welcome to SCN. I am sure you have read all the forum rules.

We have also faced this issue long time back.

Whenever you create any new media issues in , JKSD07 will try to initialize it ( Means it will insert the records in table JKSDDEMAND) . This process will take a long time depending upon how many contracts are there in the system for that media product.

If you want you can also manually initialize it after the creation of media issue.

I am sure after initialization of quantity plan you will not face this issue again.

Hope this will be helpful to you.

Regards,

Nikhil

HI Chintu,

This is because of missing authorizations.

I will suggest you another Method of Setting start and setting end for Initialization of quantity plan .

1. Go to SM30

2. Enter the Table/View as JPTMG6_C

3. Click on Maintain

4. Enter the Media Product

5. Enter the From Media Issue and To Media Issue

6. Click on Save

7. Now go to the JVSD10 and proceed as suggested in my earlier post.

Hope this will help you.

Regards,

Nikhil

Hello,

To optimize the performance of the transaction JKSD07, several steps can be done.

1 In the transaction JPMG0, set the planning horizon for the media product.=> This controls the horizon of media issues for which the system creates planning records for.

2. Schedule transaction JVSD10 to run at least once a day so that the JKSDDEMAND records are created for the planning horizon in advance to users accessing JKSD07 or any other planning transaction.

3. Schedule transaction JVSDHSHIFT so that the planning horizon automatically moves periodically

4. You can preassign the dates selection by setting up the user parameters 'JKSD03_TO' and 'JKSD03_FROM'' _Set up a conservative horizon. so that the transaction JKSD07 selects data with a reasonal horizon for issues that need to be planned.

Good luck, let me know if this works.

As a matter of curiosity what customer are you at?
