EDIFACT INVOIC D01B vs INVOIC D01C

Hi Guys

Does anyone know how much of a difference is there between the two?

I am meant to use D01B but with BIC catalog i have D01C

Was just wondering how much difference would there be? Or should i lets say put it this way would 01C include every segment of 01B and some extra?

Hi Mimranacc,

I don't have much idea on EDIFACT messages (INVOICE D01B and D01C ).But i would like to explain you with respect to ANSI X12 message.

D01B and D01C are release versions.Similarly there are versions in ANSI X12 fir invoice also ( eg.,856 v4000 ,856 v4010)

The only difference between the messages from release to release is that ...Some more segments might have been added or new fields might have been added to the existing segments .That we need to check with the release documentation wich tells you about the new changes in the message specifications.Hope this helps.

Understood that much already. However was aiming to find out exaclty which fields were different. Thank you for pointing out the release notes.
