Hi,
In Canada, fuel products are subject to federal excise tax (tax element 1) and provincial excise tax (tax element 2). Each province has different tax rates.
Our company is marketing fuel products in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan and for logistics purposes, fuel products are transferred across provinces. A product movement accross province leads to a provincial ED claim in the originating province and a accrual of ED liability at the destination province.
The way I understand the TDP configuration, you can have only one jurisdiction and therefore the above scenario could not be accommodated. I maybe wrong.
If you have dealt with this scenario, pls share how you set this up in the system.
Thanks!!
