Hi,
With which jdk version you are performing SAP Installation ?
[SAP Note 941595 - Download J2SE 1.4.2 for the x64 platform|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap%28bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==%29/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=941595]

Hi,
The Problem is pointing to
Unable to get information about path \\LABEL.ASC\ using GetVolumeInformation.
Operating system error message: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
Have you provided correct path of "BS 2005 SR3 Java Components " DVD ?
Regards,
Bhavik G. Shroff
Yes i saw this in this file again.
But on widge DVD is the right LABEL.ASC for that ERP System?
And how can i change this path?, i don´t want to run a new option installation for that system because i have already not enough disk space for that->51GB are available.
Edited by: Naucho on Jan 22, 2010 12:00 PM
Possible reasons in your situation.
1. May be the path you have provided with LABLE.ASC was wrong.
2. May be the Installation Source with right LABLE.ASC, you have provided is corrupt.
For required disk space and other H/W & S/W requirements information, one should have to read the concerned SAP Installation Guide before starting SAP Installation.
Regards,
Bhavik G. Shroff
Hello,
is their any possibility to change the LABEL.ASC for this component that i don´t start a new option installation for that ERP system?
So if their is no way to change it, widge Files and Folders must i delete to remove the corrupt ERP Installation?
I don´t want to make a mistake, because i have already succesful installed the SOLMAN!

HI,
If you are performing SAP Installation with corrupted Installation Source, then Log Off from Existing Installation Process of SAPinst and replace that corrupted Installation Source part with correct Installation Source without changing previous Path location. Then you can restart your SAP Installation with"Continue with old..." option.

Hello once thank you for your many responses.
Only I do not quite understand what you mean, SAPInst with logging off from the system and replace the corrupted configuration. So I will not to start a new installation with "run a new option"! Must i delete the old sapinst.logs or other files in the \ERP\AS folder? Can you please call the main steps that I need to do now? This is my first SAP installation, and I lack the experience necessary for this easy. I thank you once in advance for your reply.

Hi,
SAPInst with logging off from the system and replace the corrupted configuration
configuration ???
You will find File->Log off on your SAPInst Gui Screen.
You can find more information about the function available with SAPInst Gui into any corresponding SAP Solution Installation Guides.
try to do the following , if you are having doubt on the provided SAP Installation media source.
1. Log Off from SAPinst Gui.
2. Replace the corrupted SAP Installation Media Source with the correct and verified SAP Installation Media Source of "BS 2005 SR3 Java Components" at the same location/path, which you already had provided before as an Input, for the same.
3. Start SAPInst again, but with "Continue old installation" option. this will resume your previous interrupted installation from the point of Log off/Interrupted.
Regards,
Bhavik G. Shroff
Hello,
2. Replace the corrupted SAP Installation Media Source with the correct and verified SAP Installation Media Source of "BS 2005 SR3 Java Components" at the same location/path, which you already had provided before as an Input, for the same.
I do not quite understand how I can replace the old broken configuration with the new? In what folder is because the defective configuration file where I can integrate the new label.asc so I can continue the installation properly?
Regards
Naucho
Hi,
old broken configuration ?
I hv not used configuration word.
See.. SAPinst had asked you to provide the Media Location of Java Components as an Input, and Initially u hd provided some location path as an input for the java component (pointing to LABLE.ASC). SAPInst will have the knowledge/visibility only of that path which you already hv provided.
I am telling you to replace doubtful/corrupted Java Component Source with fresh and verified new source at the same location path, which u had already provided initially as an Input in last SAPInst Run.
Restart your SAPInst with "Continue with Old" option upon asking.
Try the above mentioned steps.
If still you are getting the same error regarding missing LABLE.ASC (as before), then please perform New Installation from 1st Step of SAPinst.
Regards,
Bhavik G. Shroff
I do not quite understand at what point in the system, I label.asc will replace the old with the new? I should at the same places where I have chosen the broken label.asc copy the correct one? The correct label.asc is aware of my folders in SAP_Business_Suite_Java_components J2EE_OSINDEP UT_ERP, this is the right one for the installation? But where can i see widge corrupt label.asc i have already chosen, i don´t know it widge broken label.asc i have chosen in the first sapinst and the path of it.
Just as I can tell the system now that he should refer to the correct label.asc? This is to me not yet become entirely clear.
Sorry that I have great difficulties.
Regards,
Naucho

Hi,
Sorry for mentioning wrong Installation Media source of Java Components ("BS 2005 SR3 Java Components").
It is "NW 7.0 SR3 SP14 Java based SW Comp" (media number: 51033513), which is used for installing Java components (Java tack) in ECC6 SR3 Installation, such as ,
SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 SR3
Java based Software Components
Number 51033513
Regards,
Bhavik G. Shroff
Hello,
how can i later change this path? I have indicated in the initial installation of the wrong path Label.asc. This I must now continue to change, therefore the installation? Is it now possible without a new Installaton start? If this does not work, how do I delete the current faulty installation without my SAP-based ERP system with the Solution Manager to damage?
Greeting
Naucho

Hi,
how do I delete the current faulty installation without my SAP-based ERP system with the Solution Manager to damage?
Please refer "Running SAPinst to Delete an SAP System" part of concerned SAP Installation Guide, which you referred before.
SAPinst will ask you which SAP instances you want to delete.
Then perform fresh re-installation carefully by reading corresponding Media List and Installation guides and SAPInst screen Information.

Bhavik G. Shroff
