Hi Experts,
I have been dealing with Alert Configuration.
Done with the Alert Configuration. Alert was triggering when the message was failing and was channelised to AlertInbox of SAP user added as a recipient.
But, as soon as I added the SMTP server details and created and scheduled the job for , the alert is not coming neither in ALRTINBOX nor in mail
Please suggest.
Regards,
Sushama
Alert will either be triggered into the Alert Inbox (RWB) or to the mailbox of the configured recipient.
If not already seend then have a look at this blog on how to set-up for sending alert as an email:

I hope you have maintained the email address for the recipient in SU01 and correct entry for domain is maintained in SMTP

Abhishek.

Hi Abhishek,
I have configured the SMTP server correctly..as I have tried to send the message from SAP , its going.
But, alert message isn't coming to the inbox.
Regarding alert configuration, I was getting the alerts previously in Alert Inbox.
Could you suggest where could be the problem.
Regards,
Sushama
Hi,
Did you checked the alert logs...enable the logs for your alert category...
Also i understand that you are able to get the mail into the alert inbox when you test the same using the Report RSALERTTEST
go through the alert trouble shooting blog

Hi Sushama,
Goto t-code SICF and check weather the sevice SAPconnect is active/inactive.
If you find it to be inactive please activate it and check again ..

Hi Sushma,
Please do the following steps.
1) Create alertcategiries with ALRTCATDEF.
2)Create altert rule in The RWB and assing to alertcategory.
3)Assign the fixed alert recipients in ALRTCATDEF.
4)Create a separate role for alerts and assing to consern recipents.
5)Same role can assign UNDER SUBSCRIPTION AUTHORIZATION in ALRTCATDEF.
6)Open the port for XI system in the excahnge server and assign in SCOT.
7)Activate the SUBSCRIPTION and PERSONALIZATION in RWB AlertInbox.Just you need to run the Report BSP_UNLOCK_LONG_APP in SAP XI by using T.code SE38 and mention the BSP application which you need to unlock , ALERTPERSONALIZE_RULES and ALERTSUBSCRIPTION.
8)Assign the emailid in SU01
Please do these steps.
Thanks
Ravi
