Can Sourcing Cockpit be used for Classic Scenario in SRM 7.0?

Can Sourcing Cockpit be used for Classic Scenario in SRM 7.0 or do I require Extended Classic?

For sourcing you can do in classic also. No problem

for eg. assigning vendor to sc in the cockpit and create a PO in the back end.

Hi Muthu,

In SRM 4.0 from what I understand you could only use the sourcing cockpit if you were creating a local purchase order. Has this changed with SRM 7.0? If so do you have any document from SAP that mentions this? I can't find anything...thanks for your help!

No Paul,

Cockpit is common for all SRM procurement . It is avaialble for all scenario

You can enjoy the same facilities in classic scenario as well.

you can carry out sourcing, you can redistribute work load.. etc.

Hi Paul,

Sourcing cockpit can be used for classic & extended classic in SRM 7.0.

You can choose for which product categories u wish to activate sourcing, and then shopping cart created for all products belonging to such product categories will be available in the sourcing cockpit(where u can reassign/assign suppliers etc..)
