Call VC Application on a BI system from a central portal

Hello all

i have the following scenario:

On a BI system a VC application was developed and deployed.

This application should be displayed in our central portal.

For this integration i see currently two possibilities:

1. FPN

2. URL

However, we are not happy with these integration types because:

1. we have lots of VC applications to integrate on this way and we made very bad experiences regarding performance and caching with FPN - so we avoid FPN where ever possible

2. Integration via URL is never nice

So i wanted to ask you, if you see any possiblity how to integrate in a better way (eg. like BEx Web Application iView (SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Format))

so you have tried integrating teh dashbaord with portal via role ssignments and its giving you bad performance? please explain.

we had performance problems with FPN when integrating lots of iviews. I would not expect any performance impact with a single iview.

Another negative aspect of FPN is the caching which causes problems sometimes.

Also transporting in the wrong order leads to problems.

This is why we want to get rid of FPN.

We use only remote delta link (RDL), because of our authentication/authorization environment.

So if you want to integrate a few iviews only, FPN with RRA or RDL should be fine.
