Dear Gurus,

We are operating our SAP Production system on Windows 2003 Enterprise edition Cluster and SQL 2005 Server database.

For security reasons we want to change the <SID>adm password .

Can any body tell me the steps or SAP Note to follow while changing the password.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Kali Prasad

Hi Kali,

I believe your system is in domain,If it is so please ask your domain administrator to change the <SID>adm password.

If there are any scheduled tasks under this user id,Then you need to set the new password for this jobs else they will fail.

Jai

Hi Kali,

You can reset the password only if you have the domain admin rights,If you have the access please follow below steps

Run->mmc->select file->add reomove snapins->add->select active directory users->ok

now select your domain name ->right click -> find->enter your <SID>adm user id and click find now

Once your <SID>adm users is displayed right click ->change password.
