Hi PI Experts,
Our project requirement is that we need to trigger an alert whenever any message in PI goes in error. I have created the alert category referring to an SDN blog, tested and it's working fine. Then I created Alert Rule and assigned the alert category to it. The rule is active and I have set no conditions for the rule, no restriction is set. I need alert for all the errors.
Now when I test by sending a test message and message fails in PI, I cannot see any alert being triggered in Alert Inbox. What could be wrong?

i have created alerts in my projects. i am geeting alert messages from dev,qa and prd server.I have folloed below urls and successfully sent alters.Please follow below urls.

Check where exactly the error occurs.
It should be like you have configured the alert for IE and the error happens in AE.
