Hi all,

I have a file 2 file scenario which works fine.

I tried implementing BPM in the same scenario following the link:

/people/krishna.moorthyp/blog/2005/06/09/walkthrough-with-bpm

The sender channel is working fine and the file gets deleted from the source folder.

But the output file is not getting generated.

The error msg displayed in SXMB_MONI is:

<SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">

<SAP:Category>XIAdapter</SAP:Category>

<SAP:Code area="BPE_ADAPTER">UNKNOWN_MESSAGE</SAP:Code>

<SAP:P1 />

<SAP:P2 />

<SAP:P3 />

<SAP:P4 />

<SAP:AdditionalText />

<SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />

<SAP:Stack>No object type found for this message</SAP:Stack>

<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>

</SAP:Error>

What can be the possible problem.

Pls help

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Neetu

Hi Bhavesh,

<i><b>>>Can you just go edit your BPM and then check for syntax by pressing F7.</b></i>

The syntax check gives the msg 'no error found'

<b><i>>>The status of your BPM in SXI_CACHE should be 0 if there are no syntatic errors in the BPM.</i></b>

The status in SXI_CACHE remains 2. On trying to activate manually the status becomes 99 showing the msg:

Translating step type Receive:no container definition available.

Translating step type Send: Language not set

Neetu,

You seem to have missed / given some incorrect container variable for the SEND and RECEIVE step in your BPM.

Would suggest you go through the blog by Krishna Moorthy once again and follow each step exactly the way he has done it.

Hi,

<i>>>Are you getting 2 entries in the SXMB_MONI for this File to File Scenario?</i>

No i am getting a sigle entry in which the sender service is the file system and the receiver service is the Integration Process.

<i>>>Do you have 2 receiver determinations.

i.e 1) File to Integration Process

2) Integrtaion Process to File</i>

Yes i have the above 2 receiver determinations.

<i>>>Also go to SXI_CACHE and check the Runtime version of your Integration PRocess.</i>

the runtime version of my integration process is 2.

I also tried activating my integration process in SXI_CACHE but the version remains 2.

What can i do next?

Pls guide

Neetu

Neetu,

Can you just go edit your BPM and then check for syntax by pressing <b>F7.</b>

The status of your BPM in SXI_CACHE should be 0 if there are no syntatic errors in the BPM.

hi,

On clicking PE the msg displayed is 'unable to perform action for selected messages'.

I also tried the transaction SXMB_MONI_BPE.

On selecting my process and clicking execute I get the message 'no work items exist'.

HI,

<i>On clicking PE the msg displayed is 'unable to perform action for selected messages'.</i>

As per the inputs, i think, integration process itself is not triggered. Are you getting 2 entries in the SXMB_MONI for this File to File Scenario? check this

Do you have 2 receiver determinations.

i.e 1) File to Integration Process

2) Integrtaion Process to File

Also go to SXI_CACHE and check the Runtime version of your Integration PRocess. It should be zero.

There is one SAP note, but may not be related here.i.e 816778

Hi Bhavesh,

I am working on BPM for the first time, therefore it will be very helpful for me if you kindly elaborate on the step mentioned by you.

What is PE and where is it present on the screen?

Thanks & Regards

hi Neetu,

In SXMB_MONI, go to your message.

Slide the cursor towards the other end, and you are bound to find an entry called PE under either INBOUND or OUTBOUND . Just double click on this and after that things will be clear to you.

Hi all,

I tried out the steps provided by you all. But the error still persists.

Bhavesh, can you pls guide me as to how to look into the graphical flow of the BPM to find the errors.

Hi Neetu,

In SXMB_MONI , for your message ,click on the PE and you can see the flow of the message in your BPM.

Next, click on the details / graphic to see further details.

Hi Neetu,

you configured in the IB directory a message which was routed to a business process. This process cant handle that message, there is no receive step with a containter for that message.

Neetu,

Can you look into the graphical flow of your BPM and see in which step the BPM errored out.

It will help in nailing the reason for your error.
