PPDS Rescheduling review (with cost changes)

Good evening everyone.

I have not really looked into this yet but thought I would post a question 🐵

If I have a fixed period for 2 weeks (from now to +2 weeks) that is my confirmed execution plan.

what options do I have to review any manual changes in this period to view the cost impact, this could be due to having to switch finished product production, lets say from product A (manufacturing cost $2) to product B (manufacturing cost $10), labour cost changes, change over costs or idle time.

The short answer is APO PPDS module is not the application for carrying out this kind of cost based decision making process.

You can always develop custom reports to do calculations based on scheduling options - but it will need the competing orders generated / created in the system to work. There is a functionality called Plan Monitor where you compare keyfigure data across planning versions but that would be quantity based comparison only.
