Alert Rule Setting via Tcode

Hi Experts,

Is there any Tcode to set Alert Rules after defining the Alert Category.

RWB is not opening. is there any Tcode for setting the Alert Rule??

Please suggest.

No there is no T code. RWB is the only place where you can define alert rules

Hi Sushama,

You need to make some configuration changes in Exchange Profile.

1. Go to exchange profile (http://<server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/com.sap.xi.exprofui/XIProfileApp)

2. Open RuntimeWorkbench

3. See the content of the variable com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.name

4. Here you need to specify the fully qualified name (Ask your BASIS guys for this)

For example, if the variable content is "DEVPI", specify the fully qualified name as "DEVPI.MYSERVER.COM"

After these changes are done, you need to refresh RWB cache. For this follow the link http://<server>:<port>/rwb/rtc?op=init

Once you are done, you should be able to open the Alert Configuration tab.

It is present in XI/ PI homepage --> Administration --> Exchange Profile ....i think it was suggested to make you check the status of RWB.....is your RWB now opening?

Hi,

Step1:

1. Start the Exchange Profile via: http://<j2ee-host>:<http-port>/exchangeProfile

2. Select the section "RuntimeWorkbench" on the left frame.

a. check for parameter com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpsport, if not existingu2026..

3. Click on "New Paramter" on the right frame.

4. Insert the parameter name: com.sap.aii.rwb.server.centralmonitoring.httpsport

5. Insert the https port of the Central Monitoring Server into the value field. You find the value of this parameter when you start the tcode SICF on the Central Monitoring Server. From the Menu "Goto" choose the entry "Port Information". Select the value from "Service" column of the row "HTTPS".

6. Click on "Save".

Step2:

Initiate RWB using URL - http://<j2ee-host>:<http-port>/rwb/rtc?op=init

Step3:

You may perform full CPA Cache Refresh only If you were allowed to perform.

i faced similar issue after adding Fully qualified domain name in Exchange profile my issue got resolved,

what is the error are you getting while accesing RWB.

The URL contains no complete domain specification (brsapdx1 instead of brsapdx1.<domain>.<ext>).

I have added the complete host name in exchangeprofie. Do I need to change the ICM host also?

If you have recently added this entry (with complete domain name) then you need to restart teh server to get the changes reflected

You can make the changes effective by doing RWB cache refresh. To do this follow the link http://<server>:<port>/rwb/rtc?op=init

Hi,

AFAIK only option is to use the RWB....Alert Configuration..tab...

try to fix the issue having with the RWB..instead...(if only Alert Configuration tab is not opening then and check the Services related to the that (search in SDN for more details if needed...)are active or not In SICF Tcode..
