Distribute System -> Error when run tcode DB13 -> Job Log -> Cancel

i have two server and I installed SAP ERP 6.0 (Application ABAP) on two server base on Distribute System model

Server A : I installed Global Host Preparation and Central Instance

Server B : I installed Database Instance

On server A, I exported /sapmnt, /usr/sap

On server B, I mounted /samnt, /usr/sap from Server A

Process Installation -> OK

and finally , I logged in SAP through server A -> OK

But when i run tcode DB13 to run Action Pad : Cleanup Logs, Check and Update Optimize Statistic ....etc -> Cancel

-> with error in tab Job Log below

and then , I checked tcode SM59 -> TCP/IP Connection -> SAPXPG_DBDEST_SAPREE2 -> Test Connection -> not OK with error

I have installed Gateway Standalone under your guide -> successful , i don't understand your comments below :

"give gateway details in SM59 ........."

Next, Must i do to run Tcode DB13 -> OK ?

Hi,

In sm59 in serverA, find the rfc destination SAPXPG_DBDEST_<hostname of db server>.

Enter the installed gateway details i.e hostname and sapgw<instance no>.

Then test the RFC connection.

If successful, then schedule tasks in DB13.

my producst ERP is ERP 6.0 EHP4 SR1 and i not found gateway guide in installation guide but i found gateway guide below

gateway standalone = dialog instance ?

Hi,

Start sapinst with any of your installation dumps. Then goto standalone engines -> Gateway->Gateway installation.

Proceed installation according to installation guide.

Hi,

The note reference is correct.

I have done both the configurations. In my opinion, the second option is easy i.e standalone gateway installation.

Hi,

You have two options...

1. configure rsh or ssh between nodeA and nodeB and then execute SAPXPG_DBDEST_<DB instance hostname>. Check for SAP notes on how to configure this.

2. Install a standalone gateway on nodeB where your DB instance is running and give the gateway details in RFC destination SAPXPG_DBDEST_<DB instance hostname> and then execute the tasks in DB13.
