Hi
I got the follow request: Find the highest tray number from printer and print the form (SmartForms) from this tray.
So my question: it's possible to find out how many trays a printer has?
Thanks for any help
Daniel

By "highest" tray, do you mean "fullest"?
I don't think so. That really seems to be printer-dependent, so look at printer manual if it's possible.
Since the introduction of Printer Vendor Program (not so old), it is possible to request MIB information from printer (status feedback) via SNMP (protocol), but it's only to know if print is ok if I have well read. See SAP notes for more information, or MIB website.

Yes if you have PVP and if printer model is supported. PVP gives the possibility to SAP and vendors to define the characteristics of each printer model at SAP level. See http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/50316208-d1df-2b10-0f87-93d3ee44cf43
