Prerequisites for OS service pack upgrade from SAP end.

Hi All,

I Have AIX 5.3 OS at TL 08 and Service pack 1 level JS 23 and JS12 blades.

IBM wants to upgrade it to TL 8 SP7 as the IBM centre supports TL8 SP7 for AIX 5.3 JS23 Blade.

So we are planning to go ahead with SP enhancement to SP7 from SP1. Are there any pre-requisites from SAP end for upgrading the same.

Check

Note 1119631 - Using SAP systems with AIX 5.3

for possible problem/issues with different TLs.

Also check with your database vendor if the target level is supported.

The note tells that SAP has been tested till TL11.
