How can i setup time based inspection for inprocess inspection?.What master dat & configuration to be done?

Hi

In addition to Inspection point identifier ,you have to do some settings in the routing level.

1.In Inspection plan header assign the Inspection point related to time.

2.At operation level enter the time after which you want to create the Inspection point.Also specify the unit.

what happens when inspection point is created,does it create a quality lot?

Hi

Actually When you create a Inspection point means system actually allows you to carry out result recording on same set of char.

It does not create a new lot every time.

But in case of Qty based Inspection point when you confirm the Qty ,it creates the patial lot for the confirmed qty.You can explore this.

Hi ,

You can use identifier for inspection points.For this you have to do 3 steps :

identification of inspection points.

default value for valuating the inspection point.

functional module for generating inspection point.

for this see the config through the path

spro-> Quality Management->Quality Planning->inspection planning->General--->Define identifier for inspection points.

For generating inspection points based on time you can use standard field combination 150,it is having a standard function module QAPP_CUST_IP_CREATE assigned which will generate the inspection points fro your task automatically.
