I am trying to use the download manager for the first time.
I have read the available notes.
The error is :
The basket could not be read. The following exception occured.: Unable to read from Service Marketplace: Check your settings and try again.
I am using for the Address: http://service.sap.com
Followed by my user name and password. The same ones I used to select the SAP Frontend that I want to download. I can see the Frontend in my download basket in service market place.
What am I missing here?
Thanks.
Hi Nlira1
Please check the below wikki for the SAP Download Manager : http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMP/SAPDownloadManager
As per your issue, check the "Note 401195 - Download Manager: Unable to read basket content"
Hope it helps

Arun

Hello
SAP Download Manager is used for SAP service market not SDN. To download with Download manager you have to have a S user.
To get a S user you have to have i licens at SAP.
The connection link i use and work is https://websmp106.sap-ag.de

Hello Mark,
Thanks for the information but the problem is, I am a student registered to SDN on a public profile and do not have a customer profile to login to SAP marketplace(which is the only place from where SAP download manager is available).
I am trying to use Internet download manager to download SAP Netweaver because I found on many occassions downloads fails due to slow internet speed and missing link between SAP server and browser. I thought IDM should be able to resume session downloads even if links fail but this is not true with SAP and this keeps troubling me.
I think this is a v. common problem so any help/ tips will be greatly appreciated?
Many Thanks
Kanchan
