Cost relevancy for prelimenary requirement

Is it possible to set cost relevancy for preliminary requirement item?

for preliminary material planning why do you not use the material planning field

Hi Virendra

I wish to use preliminary planning for specific component (known item) to ensure that material is received intime (not to get effected due to delivery delays). So i wish to generate PR only and no reservation. This will be in stock & as and when required, the goods issue is posted.

Though the material is planned in advance, the cost to be considered in planning. I am not clear why preliminary planning is subject to no cost relevancy.

basically SAP requires that cost relevany indicator is ticked on

this is done via BOM set up

you will need to create a BOM with the material as part and tick cost relevancy indicator

then when you select preliminary the costing will happen
