Putaway & Picking strategy

Hi All

Our scenaro is as below.....

Product A 50 shippers can be placed on a pallet & put into one Bin

Product B 100 shippers can be placed on a pallet & put into one Bin

like wise C,D .. with different pallet capacities

We would like to use optimum usage of all available bins, that is no bin is fixed any product A,B or C all should be placed & picked if the bins are empty.

Pl guide me as

What Placement / Picking strategy to be used.

Material master settings to be made

Hi,

Set up Storage Unit Types accordingly for different pallets in WM2 of material master first. Then set up the same stock removal/placement indicators for all the materials to be picked and putaway into the same storage type. The storage type should be defined as an SU managed Bulk storage type.

Then, set up block structures for each SUT for the Storage type.

Then set up your Removal / Placement Strategies as per your indicators in WM1 view .

You are done.
