default values for fields in infotype 0017

Is there any way to set default values for fields in infotype 0017? Maybe a

feature? I'm thinking about defaulting values based on pay scale group.

Hi

As such there is no way to default the fields in IT0017. Incase you are looking to just fill them so that the fields that you need to fill don't get hampered by the 'mandatory' fields criteria, then you can ask your functionals to remove the mandatory criteria in them which is done by following a series of steps. Let me know incase you need those steps.

As of now, you can default them by the pay scale group, no worries.

What I need is, when we want to create travel privileges, to fill groupings field (automatically) based on EE subgroups.

Is there any way to do it?

example,

if A EE Subgroup is GROUP 2

then, (how to default it?)

RGrp M/A Stat - Group 2

RGrp M/A Ent - Group 2

EE Grp ExpTy - Group 2

EE Grp TrvMgt - Group 2

Hi

You can implement what i suggested in my previous post.

Or else, you can do what we did in one of our client requirement.

We created a custom Ztable where we had defined which value of the the employee grouping to be placed for which record.

We did that on the basis of the company code fields.

For eg: IF BUKRS = 'TR01'

then EE Grp Expense Type = '1'.

ENDIF.

Similarly for other fields.
