Hi ,

My question is:

Can we access the java stack of the system through sap gui for Java?

What I need is to get the nwa screen initiated directly from sap gui for Java rather than going to browser and typing the url.

Can this be done?

I am using SAP gui for Java 7.10 version

Thanks,

Ajith

Ok... Can you give me the advantages of using sap gui for JAVA over normal gui ...

I know since its built on Java, we can use it across different OS. Other than this..?

Thanks ,

Well - the Java gui still contains native OS libraries so it can run only on specific operating systems.

You can avoid using Windows in your company/office.

Hi,

PI 7.0 does it, or better said, tricks it.

For some transactions; PI includes a web browser inside the right window frame of the sapgui. This web browser is connected to the PI java stack.

So it looks as if your sapgui were connected to the Java stack.

The reverse is also true with PI. When you connect directly with a web browser to PI, some links direct you to an ABAP transaction run with ITS/webgui.

PI is really a strange product...
