FTP Using VPN

Hi,

I have a scenario as follows:

I need to read files and Post files on a Directory which is on a Clients VPN ( Virtual private network ).

Would there be any configuration changes when we try to post the File to the VPN Directory? Does the port number need to be different?

My understanding is that in the communication channel, we would still be specifying the standard FTP port (21). But you would need to configure the PI server IP address (of all 'n' number of cluster nodes if present) at the network / firewall setting to enable connection to the FTP server.

One more point would be to use passive mode while initiating the connection, as the FTP server would not be able to connect back incase of VPN (as firewall will not allow the connection), unlike active mode.
