FA anc FC are both forecasting categories as you know, why different categories are given for forecast is
to differentiate between different channels of sales and how you want to map them. Or in the supply chain you want a differentiation of the different forecasts.
I think in standard four categories are there which can be used and you can add them up in SNP planning area and define another keyfigure to aggregate all the demand for being considered for Net requirement calculation.
What i can think of different categories are provided for
1. As i said to differentiate for demand from different channels.
2. For consumtption of only particular type of demand by Sales orders... etc...
the uses can be as per the scenario and i can think of only these two ....
