DTR version management for non-SAP Java code

Hello,

We are currently implementing the NWDI for our SAP related Java developments. We are being asked to also evaluate whether DTR can be used for version management of non-SAP java code as well as eventually for other types of files like ASP,HTM, Coldfusion etc.

Does anyone have an idea if this is possible? Any suggestion or information will be appreciated.

Hi

Yes this very much possible, only the developer productivity aspect needs to be explored.

The DTR is integrated tightly with NWDS and I dont think you will be able integrate DTR with other IDEs that you use to develop ASP or ColdFusion unless you used Eclipse plugins for those language support and used NWDS itself. You should also be able to use other WebDAV clients to connect to the DTR and be able to check in and check out files.
