hi sir
What is the parameteres for ALFA, gama, beta and sigma???
could u plz let me know what happens if the parameter increased than which sap specified parameteres???
2. What is Holts methods use?? and its paramerters???
Hi Dallyanusha,
Alpha, beta and gamma are the parameters that has to
be defined in forecast profile attached with the forecast
model to derive the forecast from demand planning in
accurate.
Again, this can be adjusted or fine tuned in need with the
business data. Business process analysts in a business
who can work on statistical lines can throw more light
for figuring out the exact value of these parameters. For
other companies, the SAP recommended value itself is
sufficient.
If these parameters are increased without any proper
calculations, then it will leads to wrong generation of
forecast values in system.
Holtz value signifies the linear exponential smoothing or
trend on historical data. This method is called Holtz method
wherein if historic values display a rising or declining trend
