Hi,
I am interested to learn netweaver, however I am not sure which components (XI, MI, EP, ...) to choose. Any advice is welcomed. I am a abaper.
TQ.
Hi TQ...
<b>Skill based</b>
Since you have knowledge on ABAP. You can start with WebApplication Server. Webdynpro ABAP is upcoming now-a-days on par with webdynpro Java. Both work on the same architechture. Java knowledge is very handy once u start learning you can work in XI.

Hi TQ,
Most of the components in NetWeaver Technology is using Java Runtime .
As J2EE technology is a open technology , and its is too easy for J2EE applications to access through Web.
So if u have a java background , it will more easy to understand the concepts and application developments in NetWeaver platform..
All components in NetWeaver technology have its own use .Not so easy to become an expert in all. My opinion is ,if u have Java and ABAP experience , then start from Application Platform and Enterprise Portal First...
On the way u will get why i suggetstes like this....

hello TQ,
whew, you have a very hard question...
personally i would suggest you start with SAP WAS. most
components like XI, EP and so on relies on the platform.
knowledge on the services and WAS components will easen
things when you move to focus on NW components like XI...
regards
jo
