BI 7.0 Usage Type

Hi!

Question:

What is the procedure to activate BI Usage Type within a SAP NetWeaver ABAP system with Java AddIn installation?

Do we need a new SAPINST installation or is it just activation via http://localhost:50000/nwa?

Any helpful information will be very appreciated!

Hi,

Note 883948 describes the procedure to installa additional usage types on existing SAP system.

As of NW 7.0 SPS12, JSPM can be used to install the same.

Hi,

From my understanding, there is nothing like activate

You should have selected the Option BI-JAVA during your installation

Then the next steps are to Configure the BI-JAVA part with EP to work with Portals and view BI reports on Portal
