BR0253E errno 28: No space left on device

check space on saparch mount point....and free-up the space by deleting old redologs or log files.....and re-run the backup.

Hi,

Please check if

/oracle/<SID>saparch directory has write permission to orasid:dba user

and delete the file '/oracle/PRD/saparch/.lock.bra' if it is exists there....

then retry...

I assumed, there is no space issue in "/oracle/PRD/saparch/"

Hope, it will work...

Hi Sir Rajesh,

Thanks for your response. I've check permission for /oracle/PRD/saparch and it is ok, while checking with existing .lock.bra on /oracle/PRD/saparch, file does not exist.

Hi,

It is nothing but a permissions issue...

Please check if owner of the BRTOOLs is orasid:dba

brarchive, brbackup, and brconnect have permission 4775:

-rwsrwxr-x ora<sid> sapsys ...

These can be started by the ora<sid> or the <sid>adm OS user.

brrestore, brrecover, brspace, brtools, and sapdba have permission 755:

-rwxr-xr-x <sid>adm sapsys ...

These should only be started by the ora<sid> OS user.

Please refer Note 113747 - Permissions for DBA tools BR*Tools and SAPDBA

Then we changed tape with a new one and initialized, then run again but we got the same error.. Even running running CheckDB in DB13, we got this error.

I would say your saparch directory mount) is full.

Check free space in /oracle/PRD/saparch/
