Generate Documentation MII V12.1.3 Build(65)

Former Member

Hi,

I have deployed the same PDFActions.jar and its dependencies iText.jar and iTextAsian.jar as in MII 12.0. It didn't generate any documentation file (.pdf) in 12.1. Any thoughts?

Regards,

Chanti.

Chanti,

please take a look into SAP Note [1109054 - PDF Actions for 12.0|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1kZSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1109054] and [1325997 - PDF Actions for 12.1|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1kZSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1325997]. This will help you.

I don't think I have any luck. Clicking on the "Generate Documentation" button doesn't generate any .pdf file for export.

I didn't have this problem in 12.0 though. It worked right away there.

Which error you can find in the NW Logs? Activate the Java Console for the Workbench and the also the Debug Level in the

Workbench. Run again the Transaction. After execution of the Transaction, take a look in the Execution Window and in the

Java Console.

Chanti,

you can't use the PDF Actionblocks from 12.0 in 12.1. Do the following steps:

1. Undeploy the PDFAction Library.

2. Delete the Java Web Start Cache.

3. Download the right PDFAction, iText and iTextAsia as is describe in the Note.

4. Deploy the Library.

5. Try again.

What is now the result?

Cheers.

I am not sure on how to delete the Java Web Start Cache. Can you explain in detail please?

Under Windows Control Panel open the Java. In the Java Window section "Temporar Internet Files" click the

Button "Delete Files" and then select all checkboxes. That it is.

Chanti,

To point out another observation - your version of MII 12.1 is a ramp-up version. You should consider moving to the GA version from Service Marketplace.
