Table TFO03

Hello,

I have a problem with new font ZARIAL which is used in our smartform. It is not printed out on some printers. I want to ask about table TFO03 - SAPscript printer fonts. In SE73 I can display printer fonts for device type CAN2220, there is a lot of family records, ZARIAL and ARIAL as well.

But when I check table TFO03 - SAPscript printer fonts for device type CAN2220, I see that ZARIAL an ARIAL are missing. My question is. If I use my font ZARIAL in smartfrom ,do I need to have this record in table TFO03 - SAPscript printer fonts or is this table intended only for fonts which are used in SAPscript forms?

How can I maintain that table?

Thanks

Printer fonts (SE73 transaction) are valid for smartforms and sapscript forms.

You have to add the font to each device type that supports it, otherwise SAP will perform Font Conversion.

Hello Sandra,

thanks for your reply. I read your article:-):

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/sandbox/SandraRossitest+page

You wrote about fonts:

"u2022Printer fonts: for each device type, there is the list of available fonts

u2022Relationships between device types and printer fonts are stored in TFO03 table. Use SAPSCRIPT_FONTS_GET_ALL function module to read this table."

I use new font ZARIAL in smartform. Font is added in SE73 to my device type CAN2220. This is OK. I can see in SE73 this record:

DEVICE TYPE: CANN2220

FAMILY: ZARIAL

FONT SIZE: scal.

size bold: not checked

italic: not checked

CPI: AFM

PRcCTRL.1: 00005

PrcCTRL.2:ZAria

This seems to be OK.(Some records here are blue, some yellow, i do not know why...)

But when I want to find this same record (instead of in SE73) directly in table TFO03 in transaction SE16 I am unsucessful - the record is missing(Also when I use FM SAPSCRIPT_FONTS_GET_ALL you recommended i do not find this record, other records are there). I woud like to ask about your sentence "Relationships between device types and printer fonts are stored in TFO03 table" - this is valid only for SAPscript fonts or also for fonts used in smartforms? (I am sorry if the question is stupid, i am new in this field:-)).

Thanks for your help
