Hostname buffer

Hi folks,

seems an easy enough question but I can't find a solution anywhere.

How can I reset the hostname buffer of my java application server without restarting it?

I am looking for something like the SMICM reset functionality.

check SAP Note 25917 - Changes to /etc/hosts are not accepted.
