Hello,
Our R/3 development system is connected to a development CMS which is working with MAXDB database. We copied the R/3 DEV system to another server and upgraded it to EHP4. Each system had a different SID and the clients have different logical system names.
Can both R/3 DEV systems (the original one and the upgraded one) be connected to the same CMS repository? Is there any risk in it?
Thanks,
Oren
Thanks Christoph,
I can take the risk of documents being corrupted or even lost since this is a development system. I just wanted to make sure that the integrity of the MAXDB database will not be jeopardized and that the CMS will function normallly and not crash. Will it?

Hi Oren,
generally it is possible to use one content server for two systems but I would not recommend you to do this. Because in case two systems access the same content server it may happen that original files get corrupted or even lost. Therefore I would
recommend you to use separate content server for each system to avoid serious inconsistencies and data loss.
Best regards,
Christoph
