Hi

while doing PGI system give me error message 053 saying posting period isonly in 2009/10 and 2009/09 in the company code so when i tired to close the period through mmpv for the particular date so that i can do my pgi still the system in not allowing me to do so and also in ob52 when i select the variant 0001 and when i give the period system still gives the same error

Hi

posting period isonly in 2009/10 and 2009/09 in the company code

This means sep 2009 is open provided your fiscal year varient for your company code is V3

First in OBY6 just see what is your fiscal year varient maintained for your company code

If it is V3 then it is JAN to DEC--- 01 is jan and 09 is sep and 12 is dec

If it is K4 then it is APR to March--- 01 is april and 09 is dec and 12 is march

I beleive or assume yours is K4

Your problem relates to MMPV only

First in MMRV what is your previous period say 08-2009 then it means 09-2009 is open

Now we are in jan 2010

That means you have to close dec

To close use MMPV only

In t code MMPV enter the date as 01.01.2010 and see whether you are getting log without any error

like period closed

That would solve the issue

If you tell me for your company code fiscal year varient is it K4 or V3 i can suggest you the correct input

AS per my understaning the current period should post in the 10th period and fiscal year 2009,kindly check the PGI date in the delivery.

if you want to still open the period see below

MM:

Tcode---MMPV

From company code :

To company code

Enter next period (including fiscal year) or a

(but not both)

Period--- 11 in your case

Fiscal year--- 2009

or

Date

Check and close period---Tick

Check period only

Close period only

FI:

Kindly go to OB52 and change from and to period

As per the error , you have maintained the Period so while doing PGI again, what is the error.

Hi,

Once you close previous period, Open new period MMPI or MMPV,

Take help of FI Consultant.
