Write transport request from WebDynpro

Hi,

is it possible to write a transport request directly from web dynpro application? Are there any standard web dynpro applications which prpovide the same function as the tradiotional gui one?

Check this thread:

We had the same requirement and we end up creating our own transport reusable component for the same.

Hope it will be part of basis sometimes later and will be available in future releases.

The Web Dynpro Configuration is a Web Dypnro application itself and it has functionality to create a transport request. I see WDR_F4_TRANSPORT_REQUEST as a WD Component in my system. It is a freely programmed value help that allows you to select a transport. I looked in some applications that use this component for value help and they then seem to use the TR_* function modules to create/update the transport. Note: the TR_* Function Modules don't seem to be released for customer usage.
