Hello
I'm using SAP ECC 6.0 and I have activated all the services in SICF
symptom:
A:default_host/sap/bc/echo returns error message "Could not find host or port information"
B:execute Web Dynpro return a cannot display
C:in the properties tab of a web dynpro application, URL represents "://:/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wdt_alv"
i can reach my server by ping cmd
my client computer OS and GUI is Japanese version , my server OS is Chinese and using SAP ECC 6.0 which is English version, #_< a real chaos.
Strange thing is that i can use Web Dynpro through a Virtual Machine whose OS is Chinese.
Is it really the matter of language?
I cannot figure out why
Maybe it's just some simple and silly mistake that I have made, I'm junior in this area
Thanks
Raymond
Hi Raymond,
You are getting java scprit error becuase your are not using FQDN for webdynpro.
http://sapecc6.com:8000/sap/public
your URL should look like this
http://sapecc6.domian.com:8000/sap/public
for making this changes set the following profile in instance profile
icm/host_name_full = sapecc6.domain.com
here domain.com should be your landscape domain.
after setting the parameter restart the application and try again to access the webdynpro.
Thanks
Anil
