Automatic include of depend DDIC objects into a transport

Hello,

this there possibility to find all dependent objects based on a root object for DDIC objects?

In BW there is function called "transport connection" which gather all dependent objects based on a root object.

Is there something similar in pure ABAP stack?

Hi Guido,

I have no idea on "transport connection" on BW system...

But as I know, on R/3 system, all dependent DDIC objects will be automatically detected and activated during import.

For example, program XYZ is transported from systemA to systemB, in program XYZ table C and D are called, so during import table C and D will be automatically detected and activated together with program XYZ. So even table C and D are not included in the request, they will be automatically activated during import.
