MDK for NW 7.0

Hello everyone

1) I want to know if the mdk for NW7.0 (2004s) is the same as the NW2004, I mean mdk 2.5. I downloaded this: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/downloads?rid=/library/uuid/601ebf90-0201-0010-eda9-ea7d7d95f38c .

2) I also want to understand why in NW7.0 there is not a guide for the configuration of SAP Mobile Infrastructure such as exists in NW04 at link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/bb/b670bbaa991845924982155b7c3726/frameset.htm?

There is no difference between two MDKs.

The source that I found is this for NW7.0: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/a7/893a5889e08b41b615688b1a93b559/frameset.htm but not described any configuration of SAP MI unlike NW04 as described in this link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/bb/b670bbaa991845924982155b7c3726/frameset.htm

You mean that this configuration of MI (NW04 sps23) is good for both NW04 for NW7.0?

Hi,

the MDK is the same for both versions - but the setup guide is slightly different - as you already found out by posting the different links. So please use the correct guide for setup.

One thing on top of that and hopefully it does not confuse you too much:

There is an error on the setup guide. While you setup the different connection users you need in MI7.0, you most likely configure them as MISERVICE users. The issue is: then you end up with strange error, that different things in the administrator are not working and they do not point to the user. Use the MIADMIN role instead to setup these users and all will be fine.

Hope that helps!

Oliver
