SOAMANAGER: Change URL In ECC From ECC to the Central Reg/Rep in PI

As you know, starting TCODE SOAMANAGER lauches a web browser session. In our ECC system it launches to a URL which contains the hostname/port of the ECC system. Our consultant is requesting/expecting that SOAMANAGER in ECC be configured so that it launches to the URL which is associated with our Enterprise Services Registry/Repository in PI instead.

Is this a reasonable expectation? Is it normal?

Is this possible? If so, please refer to some docs on how as I have not located any.

Hi,

SOAMANAGER is system specific i.e. ECC system A will launch SOAMANAGER for system A only.

I guess you misinterpret request. They may be asking to configure Service Registry of ECC system to point to PI service registry.

So when you try to click on "Service Registry" option on ECC system it will open "Service Registry" of PI system instead.

this is valid request as only one service registry is recommended in landscape.

Hi John,

Very surprising request,

SOAMANAGER is used to configure Abap Web Services,

you launch SOAMAANGER in ECC when you want to configure the ECC

and in PI when you need to configure PI Web Services.
