CE - WD_MODELDATA_DEST - Assertion Ticket works, Logon Ticket doesn't

Hi all,

I'm using CE 7.11.

I defined WD_MODELDATA_DEST & WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST under /nwa/destinations.

WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST uses service user

For WD_MODELDATA_DEST I want to use SSO.

If I use 'Assertion Ticket' - it works

If I use 'Logon Ticket' - it doesn't work (I get an exception - java.lang.IllegalStateException: No SAP logon ticket found).

SSO is configured between the J2EE & ECC (same username) and ECC system is defined in the SLD.

Before I run the WD application I login to the portal so user is authenticated.

My question is: why assertion ticket works and logon ticket doesn't? (as far as I know the only difference between them is the validity period).

Regrads,

Omri

Solved it on my own.

It seems assertion ticket is a better option than logon ticket when dealing with CE according to note number 1166904
