Create ERP6 ABAP only Sandbox as a copy of QA on same host

I'm required to create a new Sandbox instance as a copy of our QA system on the same iSeies. I've got the official SAP Homogeneous System Copy manual, but at 4.6C I had a much easier procedure based on:

- copy the kernel

- CRTR3SYS

- restore the DB copy

- CRTR3INST

Is this procedure still valid for ERP6 ?
