Doubt Regarding Portal System refresh

Hi Gurus,

We have requirement to refresh QAS from PRD.

I have made export from PRD and imported to QAS as per SAP standard document.

Here the problem is, Our QAS system already has an application server(Dailog instance).

As we have imported data from PRD, this dailog instance ID is not visible in config tool.Only PRD's dailog instance IDs are visible.

How i have to proceed in this regard?

Can i change existing PRD instance ID to the instance ID ofQAS dailog instance or i need to do a fresh installation?

Please Advice.

Reinstalling the App server using the SApinst utility l is the best option , i feel.

Considering its gonna make entries in the config,profiles,bootstrap etc..

Hi,

Check SAP Note 831812 - Config Tool shows incorrect parameters after System Copy

also, check Instance ID parameter in profile files should point to right instance id of your quality system.
