Could not start SDM - J2EE Server node shows status"Some Processes running"

Former Member

Hello Gurus!

I am working on the Netweaver SneakPreview sp16 EP6 version of portal on my machine. When I launched and login my server in SapMMC, I found that the process jcontrol.exe (J2EE Server)under process list always shows the status as "Some Processes running" and always stays as a Yellow color node.

And under Porcess Table J2EE server status shows as Running but the SDM Server status shows as "Stopped" and when tried to "Enable Process" it failed with "Exitcode 16"

It was working for a while and I was able to deploy the webdynpro ear but for a week now the SDM Server couldnt be started

what could be the issue and how to resolve this problem?

Greatly appreciate help!

Thanks in advance,

I was able to resolve the issue by replacing the old back up file with corrupted one and restart the processes from SAPMMC

SDM Server backups could be found in (/usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE>/SDM/program/config/sdmrepository.sdc) named as sdmrepository_backup_X.sdc.
