Event Viewer Errors Source: SAPPRO_01 Event ID: 35712 & 35698

Hi Gurus,

I'm reviewing logs in my production system (ECC 5, SQL 2005 & Win 2003 EE).

SAP Basis System: Connection to user 11962 (MHERNANDEZ ), terminal 60 (NAME-31 ) lost

SAP Basis System: Operating system call recv failed (error no. 10054)

From 100 to 150 records like that per day.

I guess is due to locked sessions of windows, We have a policy in active directory to lock session if users don't work with the computer by 5 minutes, but I've tested some sessions and this is not happening, I mean when type the windows password again SAP sessions still working.

Any ideas?

This error is fairly common but it should not be happening as often as you mention above. Generally this can occur when there are connectivity errors on the network or if the workstation is abruptly shutdown. Have you tried ping tests to see if there is an issue on the network?

Yes I've tried ping test and works properly

--- 10.13.7.238 ping statistics ---

40 packets transmitted, 40 packets received, 0% packet loss

round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 0.193/0.314/0.399/0.054 ms

I'll be doing some additional tests

There is a pattern! the number of logs has been increasing after a windows lockout policy. Users here is not reporting disconnections, but anyway I need to research in depth.
